Find a Foundation That Matches

This is a guest post by Grace from . Grace is a 19- year old beauty and lifestyle blogger from the UK.

I love makeup and love trying out new makeup looks!

Whether this is a different eyeshadow look or even just a new lip color. However, when I was younger I hardly knew anything about makeup… honestly, I don’t know that much even now.

I just threw on whatever I had in my makeup bag and that was that. It’s fair to say that this was not a good look.

It’s fair to say that this was not a good look.

But, I think the one beauty tip that I would give to my younger self is to actually find a foundation that matched my skin.

Fortunately, I was not a dream matte mousse fan (every British school girl knows what I mean), but I did use a Rimmel foundation that was way too dark for me.

Being pale and blonde, the rather inaccurate orange shade that I turned did not look good, and my mom was forever telling me to ‘rub my face in’, although with that shade, nothing could resurrect it!

So 16-year-old Grace, the moral of this story is, always check that the foundation matches your skin tone!

I’ve found that a lot of beauty brands color match you to their foundation shades at their makeup counter, so definitely check that out if you’re not sure!

I hope that you have enjoyed this post!
